In this project we learned how to make silicone mold and plastic cast. The skill based project was held in Nebraska inoovation Campus under the course named "Making for Innovation"
Materials :

1. Mold Star Silicone , Part A and Part B
2. Smooth Cast , Part A and Part B
3. Objects to be molded, here a quarter & a multipurpose credit card sized utility tool
Process :

1. At first, a mold box has to be prepared which should be water proof. It could be made out of wood like we did.
After making the box we water tested it for any leakage. Then we glued the objects (the Quarter & the Tool) on the bed and applied thinner coatings on the object and the box to make it easy for the mold to be flown smoothly.

Next we keep it to dry for a while
When the box and object are dried out, we mix  Part A and Part B of Moldstar Silicone to 1:1 ratio and mix them thoroughly. Then within the pot life we pour it into the molding box. But before pouring we applied the mold release to the mold mother box.
Then we wait until the cure time , which is around 1 and a half hours. Then we take out the soft silicone mold and put it back on to the box upside down. Ofcourse we take out the objects first. Next, it's time to make the plastic cast.
We properly mix Smooth Cast in 1A:1B ratio and pour it in the mold ans after a while it forms into a hard bright white plastic Cast as shown in the above picture.
